Suffolk Adult Learners Awards 2012 - Nominations
The Categories are as follows:
65+ Learner of the Year Award (sponsored by Eastern Enterprise Hub) – will celebrate a learner who has continued learning or come back into learning at the age of 65 or over.
Digital/Technology Learner of the Year Award (sponsored by BT) – will recognise learning where the use of technology has been a key aspect to the course.
Inspirational Learner of the Year Award (sponsored by Next Step) – will recognise the achievement of a learner who has broken through barriers to either continue or start learning, working or training.
Tutor of the Year Award (sponsored by West Suffolk College) – will recognise the efforts of any Tutor (voluntary or otherwise) who ‘goes the extra mile’.
Learning at Work Award (sponsored by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce) – will recognise a learner who has made an outstanding achievement or progress while learning through their employer.
Learning Project of the Year Award (sponsored by CSV Media) – will recognise an outstanding learning project.
Outstanding Family Learners of the Year Award (sponsored by Community Learning and Skills Development) – will celebrate the achievements of a family who have learned together.
Volunteer of the Year Award (Suffolk Partnership for Informal Adult Learning) – will celebrate a volunteer who helps within a learning environment.
Lifetime Services to Education and Training in Suffolk Award (sponsored by Leap)
Outstanding Learner of the Year Award (sponsored by University Campus Suffolk) – this is the overall award and will be given to one of the winners of the above categories.
(Lifetime services to Education and Training in Suffolk Award and Outstanding Learner of the Year Award will be chosen by a panel).
