Leap is unique to Suffolk and provides access to free and impartial, high quality information, advice and guidance to adults seeking education or training opportunities and careers advice. Leap also works with businesses wishing to improve the skills of their workforce.
The aim of Leap is to make access to education and skills as local as possible in response to the rural nature of the county, assist in raising aspirations and deliver the support the community needs to address the barriers to education and employment.
There are 13 Leap Centres across Suffolk. These Centres provide a welcoming and supportive environment where information and advice on all aspects of adult education can be received from the knowledgeable and friendly staff. The Centres also contain teaching rooms and state-of the-art facilities. Free appointments can be booked with National Careers Service staff for careers advice and assistance with CV Writing and interview techniques.
There are also approximately 100 Leap Points in Suffolk, based mainly in libraries and children’s centres. They offer information and signposting to local learning opportunities.
