This course offers a broad range of modules reflecting contemporary developments in the subject. Students study literary, film and digital texts in English, develop skills in close reading and examine traditional and contemporary theoretical approaches to the study of culture. The degree includes the study of language, literatures from different historical periods and regions of the world, opportunities for creative as well as critical writing and the chance to undertake a professional work placement.

English Language - GCSE P/T

GCSE English is an essential qualification for most careers. The course could be seen as an opportunity to improve a grade already achieved, as a way back into education, or a first step towards Access and university. The course is lively and varied, covering basic spelling and grammer rules as well as analysing texts and writing fiction. If taken alongside another course, English GCSE will enhance general reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

ESOL courses develop speaking, listening, reading and written English communication skills from beginners to proficiency level. There are five levels at which you can study ESOL : Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2.
